A reminder that we have the use of an extra all-weather, outside court at the weekend as part of an arrangement with Tennis Club de Sèvres.
TCS has a site, known as Mare Adam, roughly five minutes drive from SAC or a 15-minute walk, where we can use one of their outdoor courts.
We have access to court no. 5 on Saturdays, between 10am and 6pm, and on Sundays, between 1pm and 6pm. We have access to the court at least until our clay courts reopen for the new season.
To book the court, please reserve the number one court on the SAC ADSL system. We are waiting for our respective online reservation systems to be linked which should make things clearer in the future..
To get to the TCS site from SAC, please see the map and the following directions:.
The site is behind the restaurant La Mare aux Canards (known to most of our members as the Chicken & Duck) on the Carrefour de la Mare Adam.
By car, you turn right out of SAC, follow the road through the forest, take the first road right, pass under the N118, continue along la Route de la Mare Adam, past the Urban Foot complex, and then go around the first roundabout. Take the last exit, turning right past the restaurant La Mare aux Canards, to the end of the tarred road. The green, all-weather, tarmac courts are on the right past the mini-clubhouse and changing rooms.
The next evening tournament will take place on Tuesday 21st March and the workshop on Friday 17th March.
The winners of the 3 Clubs and a Putter competition that took place last Saturday (25th February) were
- Ladies – Sue Hall - 29 points
- Men – John Goodhardt - 28 points

The adult football team played a nice game against Los Pipos at the SAC on Sunday. Young Charles de Nanteuil scored 1 for the SAC about 20 minutes after kick-off after which, our team had many good opportunities to score more and so ensure the victory; but our shots flew over, right or left of the goal posts or even direct on the opponent goal keeper, but not in the opponent nets.
Then our goalkeeper Rich Parkin impressively stopped an opponent’s penalty, allowing us to keep our advantage.
Unfortunately, in the last minute, we paid for our lack of scoring efficacy when our opponents scored a goal and it ended with a draw 1-1, a game that we really could have won.
Anyway, we saw a lot of good play on the pitch and we'll certainly see more in the next games.
