The club's tennis ladders are about to go into action. In the first instance, we plan to run a Winter Ladder, from now until the start of the 2017 summer season at the end of April, followed by Summer Ladder to run May through September.

We hope this will provide a good way for members to meet new players, practice and improve their game whatever the level, and make the most of our tennis courts.

We have set up two ladders to begin with, both open to all full members of the club: A singles ladder and one for doubles, to be played with various partners rather than fixed pairings.  These formats should allow tennis players to play with other members however they prefer: ladies singles, mixed doubles, men’s doubles, men’s singles.

To make this possible and easy to use by participants, the SAC tennis ladders will be hosted by

Players who have already shown their interest in the ladders will be added automatically. The initial ranking is random, but every player receives one wildcard to allow them to challenge anyone else on the ladder, regardless of ranking. The wildcard can be used only once.

The same will apply to players who would now like to join. The ladders remain open to new entrants.

Players will receive a separate email with instructions about how to access the SAC tennis ladders.

Your tennisrungs user name follows the same formula as the ADSL court-booking system eg: MACURT for Matthew Curtin; ARMARO for Arnaud Marois. You choose a password of your choice.

Players make their own challenges and report their own scores via tennisrungs.

The SAC ladders administrators are Arnaud Marois, Matthew Curtin, and William Vicarini who can be emailed at  if you have any questions or would like to sign up.

Bon tennis!
