Bridge

Daytime workshop on Friday 28th.

Tennis

Congratulations to the Ground Staff and the Tennis Committee on getting our clay courts open on time.

Now you can start practicing for the  Annual Tennis Tournament - have you signed up yet (starts 8th May)? And have you made plans to take part in the Members' Tennis Day on Sunday, 7th May?

Here's a timely reminder of the dress code governing the use of the clay courts:

1. White shoes must be worn on the clay courts – running shoes are ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN as they severely damage the courts

2. White socks

3. White shorts

4. White tee shirt or polo.

Football

SAC's Sunday adult team went to play against the British School in sunny conditions and on a wonderful pitch. We won 6-5, in a high-scoring game. Great fun was had by all.

Golf

Weekend 21-23 April

This latest golf weekend was an outing to Tours Ardrée. Good, extremely attractive, but difficult course and the weather was wonderful. Combined with a good hotel and good food the weekend was a great success - many thanks to Claude Jacques for his organisation of this very successful 3-day outing.

The two featured competitions at the weekends are the Net Stableford Kiwi Cup (donated by Alan and Judy Kerr in the 1980s) and the Dean (scratch) Trophy donated by Andrew Dean.

The Kiwi Cup was won by Jeanne Delacroix with 36 points. She finished as the first lady on a countback from Caroline Icart who also got 36 points. Caroline won the 10th edition of the Dean Trophy.  The third lady was Sharon Moore.

First man with 35 points was Frédéric Thiriet followed by Andrew Dean and Michael Dean.

Spring Cup 13th May

The Golf Section is hosting its first major flagship event of the year, the Spring Cup, at Villarceaux on Saturday, 13th May. We have staged this competition every year since 1980 and it regularly attracts large numbers of players. If you would like to participate and are not yet a member of the Golf Section, please email us at .

Snooker

The snooker tournament finals for both juniors and adults will all be played on Saturday. Then it's Party Time from 8pm: Cocktails, Dinner, Prizes galore, and MUSIC!!!

Club Business

1) Parking: Please be considerate when parking outside the Club: there's is room for 2 cars between the trees; that way when it's your turn to look for a space, you might find one!

2) A young British student whom we are seeking to recruit for Squash coaching and administrative duties lasting at least a year is seeking accommodation. Please let us know if anyone knows of a flat or room to rent in Meudon.
