Dates to watch:
Tonight! 5th December, AGM, dinner and tournament.
15th December: "Weak Two" Workshop continues.
On Sunday, the adult football team played against Ville d'Avray (6-6), a team well-known to our experienced left-back Gérald de Nanteuil.
At the beginning, we were in deep trouble being 3 down after 30 minutes. Then we woke up and started coming back strongly to be 2-3 down at halftime and then leading 5-3 after 60 minutes! But our opponents had certainly not given up and fought back to lead 5-6.
So we had to start all over again! Rich Parkin, our goalkeeper, stopped their striker in a face-to-face that could have been the end had it turned out differently. Then, just 5 minutes before the end, we managed to equalize: 6-6 being the final score!
Also to be noted: Goals by Pascal Gastebois, Ignacio Aguirre and Harald Auss as well as 30 minutes of Charles de Nanteuil totally on fire!
Next week we'll be playing against FIFFA.
With most of the first round matches having being played, players should start booking their second-round matches between next weekend and the weekend of the 16th and 17th December at the latest.
For those who haven't yet played their 1st rounds, the Sword of Damocles is waiting if you haven't finished by the 9th December!
A match planning calendar is available at the bar and you can reserve by phone. If your match is organized but running late please report back by mail.
Thank you in advance for contacting your opponents and getting all your matches played on time.
Step, sculpt and core
One-hour interval training is a great way to hammer out a quick workout, and it's extremely effective for transforming your physique. Just a couple of Saturdays to go before Christmas - come join the boot campers on Saturday at 2 p.m. Check SAC website for more information.
Come and join the new Women's section!
We are trying to build a women's team - no minimum level is required.
We'd like to form a women's' group and start lessons with our coach (ideally on Sundays).
Squash is fun and easy. It's a good exercise and you can play it all year.
Criterium Ile de France
Team 2 won 3 matches to 2 against our neighbours from Chaville, the 3rd victory in a row.
Congratulations to Jean Meillassoux and Philippe Claude for their victories.
Team 1 lost 4/1 but lost 2 close matches 3/2, so an honourable defeat. On Thursday they have a new challenge against Plessis.
Call for new players in the men's teams
Both men's teams still need more players!
