Squash 100x100Squash News - Thursday 18th October - Critérium Île de France

Team 1 played at home against Verrière. Before this match, both teams shared the lead of the 3rd division

Charles Kingston and Aurélien Prière both won their matches whilst Nicolas Rosset and David Moore lost theirs. Thus at 2 matches each, we were going to a deciding match between Grégory Russo and Verrière's player. The suspense was terrific as standing 2 games all, a 5th decisive game needed. Unfortunately, despite a good fight, Grégory lost 3/2 and Verrieère emerged the overall winner.

Team 2 played away at Stade Français, but unfortunately were only able to field 4 players. Jean Meillassoux and Philippe Claude both won their matches, while Manuel Noblot and Alexander Cherdel lost theirs. That was close, but not close enough with a match forfeited, so the team lost 3/2.

Hopefully, Team 2 will be complete for next match.

football 80pc 100 2Sunday Football News - 21st October vs Ludo Cohen's team

On Sunday, the SAC football team lost 2-6 against Ludo Cohens' team, but the game was much more even than the final score would suggest.

When the score was only 3-1 against us, we had many chances to come back, and on two occasions shots hitting the opponents' goal posts. The result could have been different with a bit more luck on our side.

We did, however, score twice with nice goals by Corentin Huillard and Arnaud Pâquet.

Many thanks to Victor Sharp for refereeing the game.

Our next game is on Sunday 4th November against Los Pipos.
