The lack of entries has led to the cancellation of the tournament.
Several important changes to the playing of tennis at the SAC. 1) Doubles play is back! 2) Clay court care. 3) Access to Mare Adam all-weather Courts.
Three events are planned for the SAC golfers: June Monthly Competition (next Saturday 6th), Summer Eclectic (July/August) and (potentially) Mixed Matchplay (now to October).
The clay courts are open!
As of Thursday 28 May the clay courts will be opening. Keep an eye on the ADSL reservation board.
Last Saturday's Section Competition was a Scramble 'à la française' (player of the selected ball doesn't play that shot). The winning team was S. Hall + J. Delacroix+ D. Colson + R. Bouloux with 43 points
Golf courses are closed so golfers will have to go back to those winter activities of carpet putting and chipping into the sofa (preferably with plastic balls!)
Yes, golfers are now free to chase that little ball around the countryside. Villarceaux in particular for our Section Members, but also other local courses such as Feucherolles, Noisy, Haras Lupin, and Jardy are also opening shortly if not today.
The Golf Section is pleased to announce a new trophy, the Sue Hall Cup. The cumulative score of all the results of each of your section competitions will be taken into account for the new Sue Hall Cup. This cup will reward the best achiever as well as the commitment to participation in the competitions.

After a review of the year's activities and the perspectives for 2020 Sue Hall, outgoing Section Head, announced that, after some 20 years of service to the Section, including several years as Chair, she would be standing down from the committee and not seeking reelection.
The remaining members of the committee, John Greenwood (Treasurer), Joan Cosgrove (Hon Sec), Claude Jacques (Competitions), James Moore, and Frédéric Thiriet all stood for re-election and were duly voted in. John McCallum was voted in as a new member of the committee.
Frédéric Thiriet was nominated Chairman to replace Sue and promises to carry on her good work in the future. Most weeks he's up at the Club for Sunday Brunch and would be delighted to talk to anyone who is interested in finding out more about Villarceaux or the Golf Section.
