After losing the toss and being made to field, SAC made early inroads into the opposition line-up with their opening bowling attack of Shakeel & Kismat. KTA were reduced to 20 for 4 after first 8 overs. KTA never recovered from their disastrous start as they eventually folded for 85. Money Singh was the destroyer-in-chief taking 4 wickets, while Shakeel & Kismat taking 2 wickets each. The other 2 wickets came as a result of Run-outs.

In the chase, after a hiatus of 2 years, Steven Byng was back to open the innings for SAC with Thodi. Both scoring runs with ease before Thodi got caught at mid-off for 9. Steven Byng struck some sublime cover drives to compile 43. SACC eventually crossed the line with 6 wickets in hand.
