The Spring Golf Weekend featured a visit to Dieppe last weekend, 26th-28th April.
The 18 participants not only battled against the tricky Dieppe course but also hail, high winds and other elements that the remains of Storm Hannah cared to throw at them.
The Kiwi Cup competition (net Stableford) was reduced to 9 holes although some brave souls did complete 18 holes.
The Kiwi Cup Men's prize was awarded to David Colson. Frédéric Thiriet and Bertrand Delacroix were 2nd and 3rd.
The Kiwi Cup Ladies' prizes were all claimed by guest players, namely Mary Scriven (who also received the Dean Trophy for the best scratch score of the day), Pru Jones and Catherine Lingwood.
Playing conditions for our Sunday team competition, a Texas Scramble with a minimum of 5 drives per team member, were slightly more clement and we were able to complete 18 holes and even caught sight of the sun at times.
After a countback, the team comprising Ian & Muriel Jones and James Moore took the first spot, followed by Catherine Lingwood, Pru Jones and Peter Hall. 3rd place went to Mary Scriven, Frédéric Thiriet and Jeanne Delacroix.
