What's been going on
During the school holidays the Club's activities have been taking a break for the most part. However, to keep the young occupied the Squash Camp started this week and continues next week.
And steady progress is being made in the Snooker Tournament: in the Open Singles, Thomas Lavigne beat Lucien Jourdan in a three frame battle and in the Open Doubles, Thomas and Simon Lavigne won against Lucien Jourdan and Jean-Paul Ruzé in two straight frames. More details on the web - see below.
For Bridgers, Jenny has updated the information pack for the 3 Not Trump Workshop held on Friday 15th Feb (see below for the links) and for Beginners, the first class will be held on Thursday 14th March at 7 pm.

And for any keen young cricketers not on the ski slopes, there's a repeat of the successful inter-club indoor cricket tournament at Morangis on Saturday 2nd March details from .
Monica will be offering Yoga classes on Saturdays during the holidays (2nd & 9th March) but not during the week. Sessions will restart on Wednesday 13th March.
For those in need of a Fitness workout, Pam will be there on Saturday 9th offering a class prior to the start of the new term on Monday 11th.
In fact, the weekend of the 9th/10th is going to be a busy one; not only with the 6 Nations Rugby in its penultimate stage but also an opportunity to see, hear, and meet the author Stephen Clarke on the subject of “1000 years of annoying the French: who laughs last?" at dinner on Saturday 9th evening. (And on Sunday 10th our Footballers will swing into action against the British school.)
Ladies Tennis: We're up to speed in the ALT's, (in fact their next match is next Tuesday, 5th March) but are still looking for players to make up the numbers in the Raquettes team; if you're interested in playing in either team please get in touch with Sally Cangardel or Marie de Tilly (ALT’s) or Gigi Cothier (Raquettes) for further information.

The Search is still on for a volunteer Newsletter Editor!
The Club Management is looking for a News Editor whose responsibility is to compile the weekly newsletter from the input provided by Management, Staff, the Section heads and members. The News Editor should be fluent in English, preferably a native speaker. The time commitment needed is a few hours a week. The management would hope for a long-term commitment to the post from the volunteer. Please contact Matthew Curtin () if you're interested.

The SAC has been invited to enter an U15 and/or U13 team in the upcoming indoor cricket tournament at Morangis on 2nd March. The format will be the same as the very successful tournaments they have organised over the last few years. If your child would like to play please write asap to .
During the holidays, classes will only be held on Saturdays (2nd & 9th March) until the full schedule restarts on Wednesday 13th March. More info as always from Monica at . ?

The ALT’s team is in a pool of 6 this year. They played their 1st match of the season against TC Issy-les-Moulineaux on Friday and won 2-1. The next match is against TC Plessis-Robinson on Tuesday 5th March.
We are building our 2019 ALT’s and Raquettes teams and we're still on the lookout for Raquettes players. If you are interested in playing in either team please get in touch with Sally Cangardel or Marie de Tilly (ALT’s) or Gigi Cothier (Raquettes) for further information.
Fitness classes are taking a break for the holidays. Pam will offer a class on Saturday the 9th March and the new term proper begins on Monday the 11th. Contact Pam () for more class confirmations and updates.
The guest speaker at the dinner will be British writer Stephen Clarke, the bestselling author, with a speech entitled “1000 years of annoying the French: who laughs last?".

A Saint Patrick's Caelí will be held at the club on 23rd March, with live Irish music with the Lutecia Caelí Band, Irish dancing, food and much merriment.
