In the Snooker Open Doubles semi-final played last night, Andrew Taylor & Roland Tchertoff beat Benjamin Sharp & Michael Jayet to go through to meet Paul and Joris Willey in the final on Saturday.
What been happening
The Tennis and Squash camps for children have been keeping them busy. Note that the Tennis camp continues next week!
The Clay courts opened on Wednesday 24th. (Please remember to wear appropriate shoes and to leave your court as you would like to find it!)

Food this weekend: Saturday: Croissants & Pains au chocolat. Lunch: Ham or cheese and salad sandwiches, ham&cheese and tomato&mozzarella paninis; mixed tuna salad; entrecote and fries; spaghetti carbonara. Sunday Brunch: All the usual plus Chicken in cream & mushroom sauce, rice or fries.
Golfers are off to Dieppe today (Friday) for fine Spring Weekend chasing little white balls - not mention the Kiwi Cup and the Dean Trophy. (Note also the dates of the Section AGM/Dinner on 10th of May and the Spring Cup on the 18th.)
There will be Step & Pilates classes this Saturday, but next week is still holiday time. Yoga too is following a holiday schedule, with no classes until a class on Friday 3rd at 9.30 am and again on Saturday at 2 pm.
Saturday 27th is Snooker Finals Day (The dinner has been postponed to join up with the Flamenco folk on the 11th May.)
Squash Court N°1 will be out of action for renovation from Monday 30th until it reopens on Saturday 11th May.
TENNIS: Sign up for this year's Club Tennis Tournament. All levels welcome - singles and doubles. We also have a new-look family doubles category for parents and children. And for later in the month, please note that the Bridge Workshop has been put back a week from the 17th to Friday the 24th of May. (The Dinner/Tournament is still on the 7th.)

The Search is still on for a volunteer Newsletter Editor!
The Club Management is looking for a News Editor whose responsibility is to compile the weekly newsletter from the input provided by Management, Staff, the Section heads and members. The News Editor should be fluent in English, preferably a native speaker. The time commitment needed is a few hours a week. The management would hope for a long-term commitment to the post from the volunteer. Please contact Matthew Curtin () if you're interested.

It has been decided to postpone the Snooker Dinner and join up with the Flamenco Fun evening on Saturday 11th May to give everyone time to get over the holidays! Open Singles and Open Doubles Finals will still take place this Saturday 27th! In the Open Doubles on Thursday night, Andrew Taylor & Roland Tchertoff beat Benjamin Sharp & Michael Jayet and will meet Paul & Joris Willey on Saturday.
Step and Pilates and Step classes are still on a holiday schedule! But there will be Step and Pilates classes this Saturday 27th then NO CLASSES next week. Watch out for news from Pam () for information and updates.
Reservations for the Easter Tennis Camp (22-26 April, 29-30 April and 2-3 May 9AM-6PM) are open for all children aged from 4 to 17 using this link. Cost: 50€/day 40€ per half-day.

Court N°1 will be undergoing renovation work from Tuesday 30th April until Friday 10th May inclusive. It will reopen on Saturday 11th May. Court N°2 will, of course, remain accessible throughout.

Golfers are about to spring into action now the fine weather's here! First, there's Spring Outing to Dieppe the last weekend of April, then the Section AGM (followed by dinner) is on Friday 10th May, and, rounding off the Spring events is the annual Spring Cup competition at Villarceaux on Saturday 18th May.
There has been a change of date for the May Workshop; it will take place on Friday 24th May instead of 17th May. (The next Dinner/Tournament is still on Tuesday 7th May.)
