MC Update
The MC and advisors met at the Club on the 7th of June.
Key areas covered included:
- Review and finalisation of materials for the AGM
- Report on the Jubilee Event. A total of ~400 tickets were sold with broadly positive feedback, helped by the unexpectedly dry weather. One improvement area - food truck wait times do remain a challenge. Financially, the Club achieved its "break-even" objective, while continuing to strengthen links to other British and Commonwealth institutions in Paris.
Censor/Honorary Auditor

We are therefore seeking a new Censor/Honorary Auditor to replace him. The prime responsibility is to audit the Club’s Annual Accounts, prepared by Management according to UK Accounting Rules (UK GAAP) and to express an independent opinion to the Members as to their validity. The Censor also provides his/her advice to Management on control and governance issues as required. Therefore, if you: * Are familiar with UK Accounting and Auditing requirements, and … * … have some previous Audit experience and might be interested in taking on this role, please contact or .

The Club is investing heavily in the renovation of the clay courts, with courts 1 and 2 done this year, and courts 3 and 4 scheduled for next year. Courts 1 and 2 have been extensively renovated; as part of the renovation process, the different layers of materials that make up a clay court needs to settle for at least several months. During this time, clay courts are very fragile. It will be critical for anyone playing on clay courts to strictly apply and respect the court rules and to avoid making holes and marks that would damage them permanently. The Tennis Committee would like to take this opportunity to remind tennis players of the rules that apply when playing on clay courts:
- Wear the appropriate tennis shoes for clay courts
- Sweep the court with the drag-net at the end of your session
- Water the court in dry weather
- Wear predominantly white
