Golf News - Autumn Vase (14th September) Results

The 2019 Autumn Vase was played in beautiful weather, with the unfortunate side effect of leaving the course very dry and quite difficult to play in places. Overall Winner (Best Stableford score) was Jérome Chaplin, 42 points (from Men's 2nd Series). Best SAC scorer was John MacCallum, 38 points, 3rd in Men's 2nd Series, followed closely by Jenny Pratt, 1st in Ladies' 2nd series with 36 points.. See the FFG Results page 

Squash News - 18th September

We are organising our first squash open tournament of the season, The Toby Cox Cup, on Saturday 21st September. Team matches start on the 3rd October and Junior coaching starts on the 14th October. 

Saturday 21st is Rugby Day at the Club!

Come and enjoy a Rugby World Cup breakfast in the Clubhouse at starting at 9:15 while watching France - Argentina on the big screen. Then at 11, join in the Touch Rugby training around the cricket pitch for parents and kids (from 5 and up), while working up an appetite for lunch! (More info from

Croquet Section

At last, a Croquet Section has been launched. Training and matches will take place on Sunday afternoons for all ages. The first training session will open this Sunday 22nd at 2 pm. Meet us out on the cricket pitch. Beginners are welcome!

TOUCH RUGBY - a new sport comes to SAC!

We are pleased to announce that from the 21st of September, we will be organising Touch Rugby sessions at SAC, open to all members, young and old, male and female, thanks to the initiative of Romain Boudot.

More details will follow but please put down 11 o'clock on Saturday the 21st in your diaries as an exciting sporting date - and one which just happens to coincide with the start of 2019 World Cup Rugby tournament in Japan.

Cricket Match Reports 7th/8th September

SAC had two excellent wins last weekend, playing St Brice in a thrilling 35-over match on Saturday and then on Sunday SAC once again welcomed Le Croc Sportif from the UK.

Junior Cricket News for 14th September

Junior cricket this weekend: U11s 10-11 am and U16s 11 am-1 pm. The lads will be gearing up to take on the mighty LFP Morangis on 21st September. Their U15 team are now through to the French championship semi-finals and so will be a real handful for our youngsters. The LFP Morangis senior team then takes on the adults in the afternoon. 

Step and Pilates News - 12th September

The new Step and Pilates terms will start officially on Saturday 14th September, with a new beginners class at 1 pm on Wednesdays. More info in the main article. 

Junior Cricket News for 7th September

Junior cricket training continues this Saturday 7th, with U11s at 10h and U16s at 11h. Training will be very intense this week with the French U15 semifinalists LFP Morangis coming in two weeks for a friendly match - the curtain raiser before their senior team plays the SAC in the afternoon.

Bill Matheson R.I.P.

We regret to report that Bill Matheson passed away on Saturday 31st August after a short illness. Our deepest sympathy goes to his daughters Karen and Laurie and their families. 

Bill was very active in the SAC and a keen sportsman. An attacking centre forward on the football field, a great doubles tennis player and a powerful figure in the introduction of squash as a recognised sport in France. (He also played squash for Scotland as their n° 3). He was a driving force behind the creation of the Squash Section and the building of the first squash court at the Club. He was a Vice-President of the Club from 1977 to 1987.

Cricket News - 31st Aug/1st Sept Weekend vs Rhinos CC

Over the past weekend SAC had the great pleasure to host the return of the Rhinos, a team from the UK that last visited Paris in the early 1990s. Two excellent matches were played, with a win each for the tourists and the hosts. 

Next weekend the opponents are St Brice on Saturday 7th and Le Croq Sportif on Sunday 8th (with a 12 o'clock start.)

Football Sunday XI - 7th December

The senior team was still asleep when the game started: 2-0 down after 20 minutes and then again at the start of the second half they scored three in quick succession.

Ladies Tennis News 13th May - All-star ALT's team WINS!

The ALT's team at home against Clichy and after some very exciting matches emerged victorious 2-1. The team is now through to the quarter-finals and next week they'll be playing at home against Clamart on Thursday 23rd.

Tennis News - Men's Tennis Team Season Report (May 2019)

This year the Team played in Division 3 after being promoted from Divison 4 at the end of last season. With two defeats, two victories and a draw the teamù finished 3rd in a group of six. 

Gert Dieter WEHINGER R.I.P.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gert Dieter WEHINGER who passed away on the 26th of August aged 56 after a painful illness.

He leaves behind his wife Alice Clark-Wehinger and his sister Birgit WEHINGER HARAND to whom we extend our sincerest condolences.

Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 2nd, 2019 in Saint Martin Church, 45 rue de la République, 92190 Meudon at 10:30 am.

The burial ceremony will be at 11:45 am at the Trivaux cemetery, 10 rue de Trivaux, 92190 Meudon.
